My name is Sherri Mostowy, Kyle Mostowy's wife, who was a good friend of Dave's and flew with him often. I met him because Kyle was getting some helicopter training from Dave, (and having just a little bit of fun as well....) and Dave was also getting some Stinson training from Kyle.

We lived in Half Moon Bay and Dave and Kyle would fly out of the Half Moon Bay airport often. I first met Dave this spring when I visited Kyle at his hanger and watched Dave do some awesome touch and goes in Kyle's Stinson. When they landed Kyle asked Dave if he would take me up in his helicopter. It was a beautiful sunny day and I went up in my first helicopter ride ever. I will never forget it. I climbed into the front seat and up we went to the tune of Lenny Kravitz's "Fly Away". We cruised along the California coast, just barely on top of the waves. We flew along Devil's Slide and hovered over one of those huge rocks along the way. It was by far one of the most exhilarating experiences I have ever had. I literally had shivers!!! When we landed I had this huge smile on my face and couldn't wait to tell everyone I knew about it.

A couple of months later my son and I went to the Helicopter show at San Carlos Airport. Kyle was crewing for Dave and when my son and I got there he took both of us up for a ride over the canals and the power lines. Again, it was very exciting. I didn't know Dave very well at all but what I did know of him I really liked. He was kind and sweet and loved to fly. It is so tragic that this happened to him at such a young age, but we can only take solace in knowing that he was doing what he absolutely loved. My heart goes out to Corey and the rest of Dave's family and friends. God Bless.
