I think it would be most appropriate to drive up to the helo pad for the Memorial although I know that Dave would

absolutely LOVE it if everyone helo'ed in after all of the cycles he went through with the county.

If you could get me the driving directions and an estimate of how long it

would take to drive from SJC, San Jose Intl. Airport to the PAD this would be great.

I'll check with Rob Hyde and Belinda also. It has taken most of the day for

this to settle in and this evening I just spun up and did a flight

overlaying the last flight that Dave and I made together in the Bay Area going out over the

hills at Del Valle towards the back side of Mt Hamilton and down to Calaveras

and over to the Bay side and I faithfully put the machine on the exact

track that Dave and I last flew and I brought him with me in my heart tonight on a

beautiful, gentle night with almost no wind and brilliant setting sun.

Dave was diligent about arming the pop out floats every time we would be on

a vector to overfly water and safety was always the highest priority with him

and I know that he loved flying every bit as much as I do or anyone else.
