Tribute from Bob Jaseph (Coreys dad) Poem read by Bob Jaseph (Coreys dad) at Daves Memorial Service Abou Ben Adam, may his tribe Increase, Awoke one night from a deep Dream of peace, And saw in the moonlight in His room, Making it rich, like a lily in Bloom And angel writing in a book Of gold. The exceeding peace made Ben Adam bold, And to the vision in his room He said, What writest thou? The angel raised its head, And with a look made of all Sweet accord, replied: The names of those who Love the Lord. And is mine one? asked Abou. Nay, not so, replied the angel. I pray thee, then, write me down As one who loves his fellow man. The angel wrote and vanished. The next night it came again, With its great awakening light, And showed Abou the names of Those whom love of God had Blessed, And lo, Abous name led all the Rest! |
